CAS with own embellishments

Wanted to make a last couple of cards for the Hero Arts contest, and make one of them feminine and the other masculine. Also wanted to make my own embellishments.

Started off with masking the white cards like my inspiration from the Craft Stamper article. Then I took pink VersaColor on one and lime on the other. Then the lime one got black HA Modern lines, and the pink white with clear emboss.

Then I made the buttons out of shrink plastic cut into circles and hearts. The blacks are stamped with different HA stamps in brilliance moonlight, and the whites just embossed with the HA Magical bg. 1st picture is before the shrink, the 2nd after.

Added some texts, and some lines with black copics for the male one. So here are the finished cards. TFL! :-)

CAS cards a la Craft Stamper

Was inspired by an article in my favourite magazine Craft Stamper about CAS cards with distress inks and bleach. I thought I'd give it a try for this months contest at Hero Arts.

I made three of them by just pressing directly on the cards, and the fourth by swiping the pad on a masked area (not finished with that one though, so I wont write anymore about it).

After that I stamped with black StazOn (cause that wont bleach). A fish for Tumbled glass, Hero Arts flower from Bee Happy on Dried marigold and HA ice cream from Life of the Party Birthday on Spun sugar.

After it had dried I took bleach (Klorin) on a brush, and applied it where I wanted the white to re-appear. On the image below I've added it on the ice cream.

I then added HA Happy Birthday from Frame a Message on the ones with HA stamps. Leaved the fish for now, don't know what message to use for that.

Finally did some dry embossing on the bottom of the cards, trying to make them match the motif (like waves for the fish).

Cupcake card

Just made a quick card for the Skipping Stones and Hero Arts contests. I already had the cupcake, so I just choose some papers for the circle and card, and added the greeting. Will add some more info tomorrow since it's late now.

Ok, now it's a new day and I have more time to describe the card. The cupcake is from Hero Arts Happy Birhtday Cupcakes, and I had painted it and added stickles previously. The card was cut from a cardstock from the Green set (or something similar). The circle was vellum with metallic dots on (greenish, hard to see on the photo). The scalloped ring were cut previously with Åsas Big Shot, and the greeting is from HA Frame a Message.

I also did a last minute alteration: I took some Tumbled glass distress ink on the greeting to match the light blue in the bg. So here is the final result. TFL! :-)
